About the Instructor: Karl Geis (19332014) was an influential American martial arts instructor best known for judo and aikido. He began training while stationed in Japan with the U. S. Air Force in the 1950s, studying judo at the Kodokan and aikido with prominent Japanese teachers. After returning to the United States, Geis established a major martial arts program in
